Paint work is in good condition as is the chrome all round. The interior wood work is all nice without splitting or cracks and the interior which is finished in cream is in good condition with no rips or tears. The soft top has been replaced and is in nice condition. A great usable classic and great value TR6 for someone to hop in and enjoy.
This is an exceptional example of a rare factory big block 1961 "Bubble top" Impala. Beautifully presented in factory Sea mist Turquoise with white Impala side flash. The car's factory 348ci big block V8 has undergone a full rebuild in 2018 with very few miles traveled since. Along with the engine rebuild the car received aluminium manifolds, all aluminium pulleys, a new Holley 600cfm Carb, MSD ignition upgrade, MSD distributor, new high output alternator with billet bracket, new X flow radiator with twin thermo fans and a new high torque starter. A perfect rumble is created when you turn the key thanks to of a full new 2 and 1/2"exhaust system with performance mufflers.
The brakes were fully upgraded to power assisted items with disks on the front and new booster and master cylinder. An electric vacuum pump and tank was also added to keep things working properly at all times. Steering has been converted to a power assisted Unisteer rack and pinion system which makes the car an absolute pleasure to drive. Over the last 10 years the car has had all suspension parts removed and replaced including all bushes front and rear as well as ball joints replaced top and bottom. Driveshaft is new front to back including center bearing.
The paintwork in original Seamist Turquoise presents beautifully with only very few and minor imperfections and the chrome shines brightly without any pits or damage. The interior of the car is all completely factory original with the exception of the carpets which have been replaced and looks absolutely fantastic for a car of this age. Minor improvements include additional oil pressure and temp gauges under the dash, front lap seat belts and retro sounds radio.
The car has a perfect stance on staggered 17/18" American racing wheels and lowered suspension all round. The car is currently on full QLD registration until May 2021.
